Writing news

It’s almost Christmas, my work is crazy busy, I’m working longer hours, and I am not getting the time to write that I wish.  I work with at risk kids.  It’s stressful, but I enjoy it.  What is getting me frustrated is that life is just not leaving me enough time to write!

I had been a little worried too.  For the last few years I have not written much.  Then I wrote my novel, Ghost in the Park, in two months. I was worried that Ghost was a fluke, and I wouldn’t easily be able to write anything else.  then I wrote my short, Winter, did quite a few re-reads and polishing, and it’s ready to go off to the publisher’s.  Now I’ve started a supernatural romance novel, wrote chapter one easily, and am halfway through chapter two.  So I guess I’m still writing just fine, I just need more time!  Queries for Ghost are still on hold, as I get my other ducks in a row.  I’ll get back to it, I just need to slow down and stop rushing things.  Meanwhile, it’s thirty minutes into 12/21/12, and, big surprise, we’re all still here.  The only difference is that my fiance, Brian, keeps singing REM’s “It’s the end of the world as we know it” over and over, which is making me batty!

It’s snowing in Louisville and cold as a snowman’s heinie, so here’s a little springtime image to warm you up.
