I just wanted to post a little update as to how things in my writing world are going. If you are waiting on another chapter of Wyrd House, I plan to post another one by the end of this week. This past weekend was taken up by my writing thirty queries to various agents about Ghost in the Park, which slowed down my actual writing considerably. I know that trying to get an agent is a process that can take years, but the longer this goes on, the less I think about getting published and the more I think how nice it would be to just get back to my writing.

Chapter one of Ghost had a slight re-write. There was one passage that I always felt slowed it down too much, and I finally ditched it. My cover letter had a slight re-write as well, because I just can’t stop messing with it! So far on the new 30 queries, I’ve had four rejections. I’m being pickier about who I send it too, so that’s to be expected. I’d sure like to have at least a partial request from this bunch, though!

Wish me luck. In my head, I know it’s a long process, and I’ll need a lot of luck to get anywhere. In my heart, it’s hard not to get discouraged some days.
